Registration/Updating ALL Buna Junior High and High School Student Information


In a continued effort in improve the communication with our parents during the scheduling process, we will be registering/updating ALL HS and JH students at Buna ISD on the following dates:


For High School and Junior High Students:

Friday, August 10th in the High School Cafeteria; 9 am- noon

Tuesday, August 14th in the High School Cafeteria; 5 pm – 8 pm


For Junior High Students ONLY:

Thursday, August 16th in the Junior High Cafeteria; 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm. All students are welcome to attend and visit their classrooms on this evening.


Parent meetings will be held with the HS Counselor for each grade level as follows:

Tuesday, August 14th in the HS Cafeteria

Freshmen Class – 6 pm

Sophomore and Junior Class – 7 pm

Senior Class – 7:30 pm


High School Parking Passes for HS Students can be picked up as follows:

Senior Class – pick up in HS office August 6th and 7th

Junior Class – pick up in HS office August 8th and 9th

All other students may pick up parking passes on either registration date.



New to the district students must bring: the student’s bith certificate, social security card, shot record and the parent/guardians driver’s license and a proof of residency within the district





Pre-K Q&A

Parents, many of you seem to have the same questions regarding our tuition based PK, so here’s a little Q&A.

Q: Do compulsory attendance laws apply to PK?

A: No, because PK is not required in Texas, and because you’re paying for this service, the same attendance laws do not apply. Although we believe it is beneficial for students to attend regularly, students and parents will not be penalized for absences.

Q: How do we enroll?

A: The required enrollment paperwork can be filled out at the BES office.

Q: Is the $300 deposit due when paperwork is completed?

A: No, however, the deposit must be paid to hold the spot. The deposit (which counts as the August tuition payment) will be accepted until all slots are filled.

Q: What day is payment due each month?

A: Payment is due the 1st of each month unless it falls on a weekend or holiday. In that case, payment is due the first Monday of the month.

Q: When is the first monthly payment due?

A: The first monthly payment(not counting the deposit toward August) will not be due until Sept. 4.

Q: What types of activities will be done?

A: Students will work on the basics of letter identification, sounds, and reading, communication, writing, and basic number skills. Students will also go to PE, recess, computer lab, music, library, and take frequent field trips.

Q: Will parents be able to participate in their child’s learning?

A: YES! Several times throughout the year, we will invite you to school! Parties, academic experiences, field trips, and volunteer opportunities are just a few of the events we love to have our PK parents attend!
