The Buna ISD Child Nutrition Department consists of child nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

The Food and Nutrition Service, under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), administers the National School Lunch and National School Breakfast programs at the federal level. At the state level, these Child Nutrition Programs are administered in public schools by Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), which operates the program through agreements with school food authorities. Schools participating in the Child Nutrition Programs are required to cooperate with USDA and TDA officials.

Parents and guardians, upon checking student(s) out of the district, please contact the Child Nutrition office to request a refund of your student(s) lunch account.  Also, If your child is a graduating senior, please contact our office to request a refund or have funds transferred to a sibling's lunch account.  Please call (409) 994-7438 and we will be happy to assist you.
