Dear Buna ISD Families and Community,
Buna isn’t just where I grew up—it’s the place that shaped me, where my roots run deep, and where my heart has always been. It’s where my love for school began, where I learned right from wrong, and where the values of hard work, integrity, and service to others were instilled in me. Now, after 34 years in education, stepping into the role of Superintendent is more of an honor than I can describe. I am so grateful for the opportunity to lead in the place that literally made me who I am.
As a third-generation Buna ISD educator, my family and I are deeply rooted in this community. Alongside the knowledgeable Buna ISD staff, we are committed to working WITH you to carry on the pride and tradition that make our schools and town so special. We have great kids, a dedicated staff, and a supportive community, and I truly believe that with transparency, honesty, and open communication, we can create the best possible opportunities for our students.
We CAN make progress while still holding on to who we are and what we stand for here in Buna, and that is our goal.
I am more excited than I can even put into words.
There are SO many good things ahead for our district!
Go Cougars!
